Cattery

Avoca Valley Cattery is a dedicated purpose-built standalone facility nestled in the head of the Avoca Valley running off Port Hills Road.

What sets this Cattery apart from others is the peaceful, rural setting free from traffic noise and the congestion of the city. Set amongst mature trees, the bird life provides added stimulation for the feline mind.

We have 36 units all with outside enclosures affording sun, fresh air and views of the surrounding farmland, sheep, chickens, our resident goats, the occasional pheasants and quails. The units are of generous proportions, sufficient to house up to three cats from the same household comfortably.

All units have electric heat pads during the cooler months along with warm bedding. The building has underfloor heating and is equipped with three high-capacity heat pumps.

We provide a range of dry and wet foods to suit even the most selective of palates.

The Cattery is owned and managed by Heather and Robert Wilson who reside on-site ensuring a constant overview of the Cattery.
